COMMUNITY LEARNING & DEVELOPMENT

Working with a team of Volunteers we provide a Community Learning Programme to help people with basic skills to increase social inclusion and active citizenship, as well as promote lifelong learning.

At CHAS @ St Vincent's we provide a range of free classes to help with ESOL, Literacy, IT Basic Skills and Employment in a welcoming and friendly atmosphere, as well as a weekly Migrant Support Drop-In, Work Club and Legal Advice Drop-In.

"The atmosphere here is so nice and everybody is so friendly. I enjoy coming here." (Student)

We provide a number of ESOL (English for Speakers of Other Languages) classes and IT Basic Skills classes, as well as bespoke classes focused on creative wellbeing. Most of our classes are held at our Allenby House base in BD3 and sometimes at other outreach locations within the BD3 area during term time. We offer the following classes and all of our classes are FREE and open to anyone...

  • ESOL Pre-Entry Level
  • ESOL Entry Levels 1, 2 & 3
